Pangea Geotechnia Strengthens Its Technical Capabilities Through Specialized Training in Ground Anchors and Post-Grouting

At Pangea Geotechnia, we believe that continuous improvement and ongoing technical development are essential to meeting the increasingly complex challenges of modern geotechnical engineering.

This month, members of our engineering team participated in a three-day specialized training program on ground anchor systems and post-grouting techniques, delivered remotely by internationally recognized geotechnical specialist Dr. Devon Mothersille.

The program covered advanced topics related to the behavior, design, and installation of ground anchor systems, with particular emphasis on SBMA (Single Bore Multiple Anchor) technology and advanced post-grouting methods used to enhance geotechnical performance.

In addition to the technical sessions, the training included a live field demonstration supervised remotely through real-time video streaming. This approach complemented the theoretical content with practical application, allowing participants to observe and discuss construction procedures as they were carried out in the field.

Simultaneous English–Spanish interpretation was provided throughout the program, enabling seamless communication and technical discussion between the instructor and Pangea Geotechnia's engineering team.

The successful delivery of this training required significant technical preparation and coordination by our team.

We would like to acknowledge the contribution of José Quiroz Olmos, Engineering Manager, who provided technical interpretation during the sessions, facilitating effective knowledge transfer between all participants.

We also recognize the work of Dalton Anziani Godoy, Special Foundations Manager, who coordinated the installation of the demonstration anchor and managed the equipment and materials required for the field demonstration.

The initiative was supported by Rafael Martínez Ascencio, CEO of Pangea Geotechnia, and Roberto Contreras Gatica, COO, whose commitment made this specialized training opportunity possible.

The training enhanced our team's expertise in advanced anchoring systems and post-grouting techniques, reinforcing our ability to deliver innovative solutions for increasingly demanding geotechnical projects.

The program also provided valuable insight into SBMA (Single Bore Multiple Anchor) technology, for which Pangea Geotechnia is the exclusive regional licensee. This further expands our capability to evaluate and implement specialized anchoring solutions whenever project conditions require them.

At Pangea Geotechnia, we remain committed to continuous learning, international collaboration, and technical excellence, recognizing that outstanding engineering is built on knowledge, experience, and continuous improvement.
