Pangea Geotechnia Participates in Energy Transition Innovation Bootcamp Organized by UCSC Faculty of Engineering

The energy transition is not only a technological challenge—it also requires new ways of collaborating between industry, academia, and the productive sector. With this objective, the Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (UCSC) organized the "Collaborative Innovation for the Energy Transition" Bootcamp, bringing together companies, researchers, and innovation facilitators to address real-world challenges with regional impact.

Pangea Geotechnia actively participated in this initiative, contributing its expertise in advanced geotechnical engineering, ground characterization, and numerical modeling for infrastructure and mining projects—key disciplines that support the safe and sustainable development of energy infrastructure.

The bootcamp brought together 10 companies, 10 innovation facilitators, and more than 10 academic researchers, who worked collaboratively in thematic workshops focused on addressing challenges related to the regional energy transition. This type of open innovation initiative helps connect real industry needs with the technical capabilities of universities and engineering companies, generating practical solutions that can evolve into more sustainable projects.

Our participation reinforces Pangea Geotechnia's commitment to the responsible development of infrastructure and to strengthening collaboration between industry and academia—an essential component in building a more competitive and sustainable energy ecosystem. Events such as this also foster interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling complex engineering challenges to be approached from multiple perspectives while creating opportunities to develop innovative geotechnical solutions for the region.
