Reducing vibration and noise: construction progress at Terrasud Costanera

As part of the Terrasud Costanera residential project in San Pedro de la Paz, the Pangea Geotecnia team continues to advance through the initial stages of construction, applying innovative techniques to optimize the installation of steel piles.


Working together with our site supervisor, José Ramírez, we are implementing a pressurized water jetting system that significantly reduces vibration and noise during pile installation. This technique consists of washing the outside of the steel section with pressurized water as it is driven into the ground, facilitating penetration while reducing the impact on the surrounding environment, benefiting both construction progress and the neighboring community.

Over the coming weeks, we will begin anchor drilling and the installation of deep drainage systems, taking into account the groundwater table encountered at a depth of approximately 5 meters. Through solutions such as these, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering modern geotechnical engineering with a focus on construction efficiency, environmental responsibility, and consideration for the communities surrounding our projects.
